Part 1I think this is my best image because it replicates August Sander's work the best. Both subjects are giving similar facial expressions and have similar features. Also the blurred background in both pictures brings more attention to the subject. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was editing the images and finding the correct filter which I was unable to do. In the future I will strive to take portraits of multiple subjects and be more creative with my photos. Part 2Hi Tommy,
I really like your photograph emulating Ansel Adams. The angle of your photo makes the church appear larger than everything around it and really gives off that castle-like look that Ansel Adams has in his work. I also like how the black and white filter gives the sky a hazy look just like in Admas' photo. https://tommylutterphotography.weebly.com/blog/emulating-a-professional-photographer

Travis, I think your photograph emulating August Sander is spot on. I like how the main focus is the face but the background isn't left out completely, it's just off focus. I think the use of including the background takes some pressure off of the face in a good way and it doesn't have to been looked at as a portrait.
